Men On The Move operates from 150 Crossways Park Drive West in Woodbury under USDOT 526079 and MC-247328. The FMCSA record, as SAFER printed it on 09/26/2026 and as we read it on 21 October 2026, shows an Active USDOT status, operating authority marked Authorized, and no out of service date.

Before you callNo moving rate, deposit figure or valuation term is printed on the site, and the only dollar figures you will find there are storage starting prices.
The cargo box checked is Household Goods, and the fleet line reads 17 power units and 23 drivers. The company prints the same USDOT number on its own site, along with a New York certificate number, T-11671. Two things we could not check: the insurance filings behind the authority, and whether the state certificate is current.
Both lookups failed on our read date, and this page says how to run them yourself. Moving rates are not published. Two storage prices are, and they appear below exactly as the site prints them.

The federal record is in the company’s own name and shows 17 power units
SAFER lists the entity type as Carrier/Shipper, a label SAFER does not explain and which we print as shown. The operating authority line reads Authorized for Motor Carrier of Property (Except Household Goods) and Motor Carrier of Household Goods. In plain terms, FMCSA has granted interstate authority for both ordinary freight and household moves. The MCS-150 form behind the fleet count is dated 05/08/2026, so the 17 power units and 23 drivers are this year’s figures, as filed by the company.
An Authorized line speaks only to moves that cross a state line. A move from Woodbury to Garden City is a New York matter, regulated by NYSDOT under Transportation Law section 191, and the federal record says nothing about it either way. That is why the state certificate matters, and why the next section is about a number we could not verify. The carrier or broker guide explains each line on the record.
The site prints NYDOT T-11671, and we could not confirm it with the state
New York requires a household goods carrier’s certificate number to appear in all of its advertising (17 NYCRR 814.1(a), read 21 October 2026). Men On The Move prints T-11671 on its site. That is a first party claim, and it is the right kind of claim to make.
We tried to check it against the state. NYSDOT’s CarCert portal marks its carrier search Functionality Under Development as of 21 October 2026, and we found no public list of certificated movers on dot.ny.gov. So the certificate field on this page reads could not check, for this company and for all 38 in our set.
The difference between a probationary and a permanent certificate is on the state’s own licensing page: a probationary certificate runs for no more than one year and can be renewed once.
Insurance on file could not be read, which is a lookup problem, not a finding
FMCSA keeps insurance filings in its Licensing and Insurance system, separate from SAFER. On 21 October 2026 the L&I page for USDOT 526079 returned only a blank search form with the words Please enter the challenge question. We did not get past it. The insurance line on this page therefore reads could not check, and nothing here should be read as a statement that this company lacks coverage.
The site itself makes no numeric insurance claim that we found, and we would not print one from a company page as a record in any case. Three lookups close the gaps.

Call NYSDOT at (518) 457-6512 or email nymoving@dot.ny.gov: give the mover’s exact name and the number T-11671, and ask whether the certificate is current and whether it is probationary or permanent.
Moving rates are not published; two storage prices start at $35 and $19
We read the home page and the terms page on 21 October 2026 looking for an hourly rate, a minimum, a travel time rule or a deposit figure. None is printed. The site routes every job through a free estimate form, and the terms page says fees and deposits are handled under the applicable agreement or rules, without a number. Valuation terms are absent from both pages as well. The valuation guide explains what to ask for instead.

The only dollar figures on menonthemove.com are storage prices, and they say nothing about a move
Do not skip this
The site prints a pair of storage figures, and we show them so you know what they are. They are starting prices for the self storage and storage cube businesses that run from the same Woodbury base. They are first party, and they are storage, so do not read them as a moving rate.
Established in 1985, with its own trucks and storage on one Woodbury site
The site says Established in 1985 and describes a modern fleet of moving trucks and tractor trailers based in Woodbury, which lines up with the 17 power units on the federal record. The service list runs from local and long distance moves to packing, fine art and piano work, residential and commercial jobs, and a Florida Express service. The site lists Nassau, Suffolk and the New York City boroughs as its area, and says it has moved families along the east coast and beyond.
No trade association membership is stated on the site. It lists awards and a charity tie instead, which we do not treat as record facts. Nothing on the site names a van line, so for an interstate job the move would run under the company’s own MC-247328 unless they tell you otherwise. That is a good thing to confirm in writing, along with the booklet FMCSA requires on interstate moves, Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move.
Ask them this, in writing
Will the bill of lading carry USDOT 526079 and MC-247328, or another carrier’s numbers?
Is the certificate behind NYDOT T-11671 current, and is it probationary or permanent?
What is the hourly rate, the minimum, and the travel time rule for a local move, in writing?
What deposit do you take at booking, and is it refundable if the date moves?
What valuation do you include, and what does Full Value Protection cost on my shipment?
Can I see your current BIPD and cargo insurance certificates before moving day?
Print this page and tick each one off on the call.
What we read, and whenWe read menonthemove.com (home and terms pages) on 21 October 2026 and the SAFER company snapshot for USDOT 526079 (SAFER as of 09/26/2026, read 21 October 2026). We also tried the FMCSA Licensing and Insurance search page (form only, 21 October 2026) and NYSDOT CarCert (search under development, 21 October 2026). Regulatory references come from NYSDOT’s moving and licensing pages, 17 NYCRR Part 814 and FMCSA’s Protect Your Move pages, all read 21 October 2026. Corrections: if you are the company and a record line here is out of date, send us the current SAFER or NYSDOT output and we will reprint it with the new date.
Founded 1950 per its home page and 1970 per its about page; the USDOT and MC it prints, 070851 and MC-107012, belong to North American Van Lines per SAFER.
